Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy offers a safe space where together with the therapist you may explore difficult, and often painful, emotions and experiences. These may include feelings of anxiety, depression, trauma, or perhaps the loss of meaning in your life. It is a process which seeks to help you gain more awareness and knowledge of yourself and thus enable an increased capacity for making conscious, appropriate life choices, and with it a sense of wholeness & well-being. Psychotherapy may be provided for individuals or children, couples, families and groups. There are many different psychotherapeutic approaches such as Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Integrative, Analytic, Transpersonal, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral, Psychosynthesis, Core Process, Body Psychotherapy etc.

The intention of this contemplative approach is to create a deeper connection with the openness, compassion and wisdom at the heart of our human condition. This experiential work encompasses our feelings, emotions, sensations, mental processes and their expression in the body. Each person has their own 'way in' and their own way of mapping and describing their experience. I work from the understanding that we all have inherent health and - given the right conditions - orientate naturally towards well-being and wholeness. Call me for a free initial half hour meeting: 01458 833382 I also offer clinical supervision to therapists and complementary health practitioners
