About Apple

Apple opened in April 2005, and has been described as an elegant Victorian house with a modern touch. It was built in 1898 and retains many period features, but in the 13 years we've lived here we've tried to improve and update it. There are original stripped pine floors and doors throughout, and a garden room has been added to provide a bit of sunshine. The decor is a mix of Victorian and colourful modern style. The rooms are of a good size, with high ceilings, and the emphasis is on cleanliness and comfort.

Apple is a non-smoking house, although guests are welcome to smoke outside in the garden.

 

The Bedrooms

We have three guest bedrooms:

- one ensuite double room with private use of a wet room-style shower space, basin and w.c.

- one double room (one large bed)

- one twin room (2 single beds)

These last 2 rooms share exclusive use of a charming new bathroom which has stylish, modern fittings and a large, roomy deluxe power shower.

All the bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVs, and a CD/radio mini-system. There is, of course, a well-stocked hospitality tray in each room, with a wide choice of teas, coffee and mineral water, plus a few little extras.

Towelling bathrobes and hairdryers are provided in all the rooms for the use of guests.
